MIT Enters One Boat in Dartmouth Green Monster

HANOVER, N.H. – MIT men's lightweight crew traveled to New Hampshire for the annual Dartmouth Green Monster Invitational, a novice rowing event that took place on an uncharacteristically warm November Saturday. Tech entered just one boat in the regatta and combined with members of the MIT women's lightweight crew team to make another.

The Engineers completed the course with a time of 16:42, finishing less than 20 seconds behind Vermont's A boat and almost 15 seconds ahead of the University of Massachusetts A boat. Boston University's B boat led the pack with its time of 14:19.

Combining with the women's lightweight crew team, that boat completed the race with a time of 22:28. It came in a few minutes after the UMass C boat.

MIT has just one more regatta before the fall season comes to a close. The Cardinal and Gray will compete in the Foot of the Charles on Saturday, Nov. 23, with races starting at 7:00 a.m. Tech will not return to the water until the spring, when it heads to California for the San Diego Crew Classic in April.
