Northampton, Mass. (April 4) – The Northeast Fencing Conference (NFC) announced that MIT junior Tzer Wong (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and senior Benjamin Lin (Beaverton, Ore.) were named to the All-Star Sabre first and second teams, respectively. In addition, Lin was the recipient of The Elliot Lilien Award which is given to the fencer who shows exemplary sportsmanship and an excellent parry system. The award is named after the NFC's founding commissioner and is voted upon by the coaches.
Lin joined Igor Kopylov '09 as the only four-time Sabre All-Stars in program history after he compiled a ledger of 22-5 in NFC action. He is also the second Eliot Lilien Award recipient as Trevor Chang '07 was the first to earn this honor in 2007.
Wong picked up his third All-Star accolade after compiling a 23-3 ledger in NFC action, securing a spot on the first team for the second year in a row.
