Men's Fencing Earns Four Top-Five Finishes at The Big One Invitational

- Location: Northampton, Mass. (Smith College)

- The Lead: The MIT men's fencing team opened up the 2018-19 season by generating four top-five finishes at The Big One Invitational hosted by Smith College on Sunday. Junior Sheel Patel (El Paso, Texas) tied for fifth place in epee for a career-best performance while freshman Aaron Lu (Belmont, Calif.) tied for third place in the sabre standings. Freshmen Christopher Kiel (Whitehouse Station, N.J.) and Robert Law (Los Altos, Calif.) both tied for third place in the foil competition for the Engineers.
