Mike Booras is beginning his fifth season on the MIT football staff in 2019 and will coach the team's outside linebackers. This is his second stint as an assistant coach with the program.
He previously coached football at his alma mater, Colby College, for three years from 2006-08 as an assistant coach. While at Colby he also was a coach with the school’s varsity skiing program.
After Colby, Booras moved on to Harvard University where he worked as an Athletic Events Coordinator and as the Assistant Director of the Crimson Club from 2009-11. He then went back to Colby as a major gifts officer from 2011-13 before making the change to MIT in 2013.
A 2005 graduate of Colby with a BA in anthropology, Booras was a four-year player for the Mules and a co-captain in 2004 when he was honored with the Paul “Ginger” Frazier Award for sportsmanship, leadership and dedication.
He also holds a Masters degree in sports management from Northeastern.
