  • Das and Kang Earn CSA Scholar-Athlete Accolades

    Cambridge, Mass. (March 11) - For the first time in their respective careers, juniors Neel Das (Needham, Mass.) and Wonjune Kang (Seoul, South Korea) have been named as College Squash Association (CSA) Scholar-Athletes. Das and Kang are now the 14th and 15th student-athletes to earn Scholar-Athlete accolades in program history.

    MIT squash sophomores Joe O'Connor (Madison, N.J.) and Henry Martin (Brooklyn, N.Y.) as well as first-year Aman Sanger (New York, N.Y.) closed their historic season at the 2019 College Squash Association (CSA) Individual National Championship. At the conclusion of their run, the Engineers were voted as the Most Improved Team in 2019.

(February 28) – A program record three student-athletes will represent the No. 17 MIT squash team at the College Squash Association's (CSA) Individual National Championship beginning tomorrow morning in Providence, R.I. Sophomores Henry Martin (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Joe O'Connor (Madison, N.J.) as well as first-year Aman Sanger (New York, N.Y.) will represent the Engineers all for the first time in their respective careers on the national stage.
  • CHAMPIONS! MIT Squash Tops Brown To Win Program's First Summers Cup Title

    MIT squash was crowed as the champions of the Summers Cup for the first time in program history on Sunday afternoon as the No. 20 nationally-ranked Engineers defeated No. 19 Brown University, 6-3, in New Haven. Today's win not only marks the first national championship title for MIT in program history, but the Engineers also defeated the Bears of the Ivy League for the first time since the 1997-98 campaign.
  • MIT Squash Rolls Into National Final With 7-2 Win Over No. 17 Williams

    For just the second time in program history and first time since 2011, the MIT squash team has advanced to the final round of the College Squash Association (CSA) Team National Championship as today the No. 20 ranked Engineers topped No. 17 Williams College, 7-2. MIT avenged a loss from just a week ago against the Ephs when host Williams defeated the Engineers 7-2 in Western Massachusetts.
  • No. 20 Squash Defeats No. 21 Bates in CSA Team National Championship Opener

    The No. 20 nationally-ranked MIT squash team defeated No. 21 Bates College, 6-3, in the first round of the Summers Cup at the 2019 College Squash Association (CSA) Team National Championship. Today's win marks the first victory for the Engineers in the opening round of the national tournament since 2011.

    On the second day of the 2019 MASC Round Robin, the No. 19 MIT squash team was edged by No. 15 George Washington and No. 16 Franklin & Marshall. The Engineers came into today's matches ranked No. 19 in the nation, which marks the highest ranking in program history.
  • No. 19 Squash Drops 5-4 Road Final at No. 10 Virginia

    On Friday night, the No. 19 ranked MIT squash team dropped a hard-fought 5-4 final at No. 10 University of Virginia on Day One of the MASC Round Robin. The Engineers are ranked No. 19 in the nation, which marks the highest ranking in program history.
  • No. 21 Squash Defeats No. 20 Bates for First Time since 1997-98

    MIT junior Vedaant Paul Kukadia (Manhasset, N.Y.) clinched the match for the No. 21 Engineers as he swept Jesper Phillips of No. 20 Bates College at position number four. The 7-2 victory for MIT pushed its win streak to six and marks the first time since the 1997-98 season that the Engineers have defeated the Bobcats.
  • No. 21 Squash Runs Win Streak to Five With Sweep of No. 31 Wesleyan

    The No. 21 MIT squash team wrapped up the 2019 Pioneer Valley Round Robin this morning with a 9-0 win over No. 31 Wesleyan University. Today's second match which was scheduled for 3:30 pm against No. 26 Colby College was canceled due to the impending snowstorm.
  • No. 21 Squash Notches 7-2 Win Over No. 23 Amherst

    On the opening day of the 2019 Pioneer Valley Round Robin, the No. 21 MIT squash team defeated No. 23 Amherst College, 7-2. The Engineers picked up their fourth straight win against a nationally-ranked team this evening in western Massachusetts.

    The No. 22 MIT squash team opened 2019 with a 9-0 win over No. 29 Connecticut College on Sunday afternoon in Cambridge. Eight of the nine positions were won in three sets and junior Justin Restivo (Phoenixville, Pa.) won his match at position eight in five sets.
  • MIT Squash Announces Establishment of the Gerstein (1988) Squash Fund

    Cambridge, Mass. (December 13) -- Prior to the team’s recent home match vs. Tufts University, the MIT squash program recognized the generous support of Alan and Julie Gerstein and the establishment of the Gerstein (1988) Squash Fund. The fund addresses digital technology upgrades for the Squash program and an endowment to support future enhancements for the Squash Lobby. With many in attendance at the match, a plaque was unveiled near the courts to commemorate the occasion and to recognize the establishment of this fund.
  • Das Clinches Match Point for No. 22 MIT Squash as Engineers Defeat Tufts, 8-1

    MIT junior Neel Das (Needham, Mass.) came from two sets down at position number eight to claim a five set win over Brett Raskopf which clinched an 8-1 victory for the No. 22 Engineers over No. 23 Tufts University on Wednesday night in Cambridge.

    For the first time since the 1993-94 season, the No. 22 MIT squash team was able to take a point from crosstown rival No. 2 Harvard University however the Engineers fell to the Crimson by an 8-1 final score on Friday evening.

    In a battle of nationally ranked programs, the No. 22 MIT squash team fell to No. 16 Navy on the first day of the 2018 Navy Round Robin. Sophomores William Wu (Eagleville, Pa.) and Robert Williamson (Weston, Mass.) were the lone victors from the Engineers in last night’s match.

  • Squash Set to Open 2018-19 Campaign Tomorrow at Home

    Cambridge, Mass. (October 29) –The MIT squash team is scheduled to open the 2018-19 season tomorrow evening inside the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center against Boston University at 6:00 pm and Babson College at 7:00 pm. The Engineers will be under the direction of fifth-year head coach Thierry Lincou.
