Cambridge, Mass. (October 29) –The MIT squash team is scheduled to open the 2018-19 season tomorrow evening inside the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center against Boston University at 6:00 pm and Babson College at 7:00 pm. The Engineers will be under the direction of fifth-year head coach Thierry Lincou.

MIT, which finished the 2017-18 campaign ranked No. 22 by the College Squash Association, will square off against eight opponents who are ranked No. 25 or better in the country this year including No. 15 Navy (November 16), No. 18 Franklin & Marshall (November 17), No. 2 Harvard (November 30), No. 24 Amherst (January 18), No. 23 Colby (January 19), No. 20 Bates (January 23), No. 19 Middlebury (February 9) and No. 21 Williams (February 10).
In all, the Engineers will travel to three round robin events including the Navy Round Robin from November 16-18, the Pioneer Valley Round Robin from January 18-20 and the MASC Round Robin at the University of Virginia from February 2-3. The MASC Round Robin, held at the University of Virginia will host some of the best teams in the country including No. 9 George Washington, No. 14 Virginia, No. 17 Dickinson, No. 18 Franklin & Marshall and No. 22 MIT.
MIT will round out the season at the CSA Team National Championship, which will be held in New Haven, Conn. from February 15-17 and the CSA Individual National Championship, which will be held in Providence, R.I. from March 1-3.
The Engineers return a pair of seniors to the squad this year in Justin Restivo (Phoenixville, Pa.) and Elizabeth Wei (Seattle, Wash.).
