The Lead: For the second straight season, the No. 22 ranked MIT squash team opened its season with 9-0 victories over Boston University and Babson College at home. 

HOW IT HAPPENED vs. Boston University:

- MIT won all nine matches by 3-0 final scores. In their first collegiate matches, freshman Aman Sanger (New York, N.Y.) defeated Hunter Chun, 11-3, 11-5, 11-3 at No. 1 and classmate Keith Lamp (Short Hills, N.J.) topped Zain Matiwala, 11-1, 11-2, 11-1. 

- At No. 2, sophomore Joe O'Connor (Madison, N.J.) bested Parker Tonissi, 11-8, 11-4, 11-5, at No. 4 sophomore Henry Martin (Brooklyn, N.Y.) defeated Matthew Wallace, 11-4, 11-1, 11-5 and at No. 5 junior Vedaant Paul Kukadia (Manhasset, N.Y.) topped DJ Reed, 11-3, 11-3, 11-1. 

- At No. 6, sophomore Brad Levin (Cockeysville, Md.) defeated Julian Lee, 11-3, 11-4, 11-8, at No. 7 sophomore William Wu (Eagleville, Pa.) bested Emanuel Vieira De Andrade, 11-2, 11-3, 11-5, at No. 8 sophomore Rob Williamson (Weston, Mass.) topped Karan Mahtab, 11-3, 11-5, 11-1 and at No. 9 junior Neel Das (Needham, Mass.) defeated Cameron Bonhurst, 11-3, 11-3, 11-9.

HOW IT HAPPENED vs. Babson College:


- At the top of the ladder, O'Connor allowed Aayush Bhansali to win just won point as he won 11-0, 11-1, 11-0 at No. 1. K. Lamp won his match at No. 2, 11-1, 11-8, 11-1, Martin won his match at No. 3, 11-2, 11-2, 11-3, Levin won his match, 11-2, 11-3, 11-0 at No. 4 and Das won his match at No. 5 11-6, 11-3, 11-4.

- In the bottom half of the ladder, junior Wonjune Kang (Seoul, South Korea) defeated Raj Mehta, 11-6, 11-3, 11-4 at No. 6 and junior Avery Lamp (Short Hills, N.J.) topped Yash Kedia, 11-3, 11-4, 11-4.

- In their first collegiate matches, freshman Ji Seok Kim (Newton, Mass.) bested Fred Li, 11-0, 11-1, 11-3 at No. 8 and classmate Stuart Rucker (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) defeated Lauren Mariano, 11-0, 11-3, 11-4.
