CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – It will be a busy in the Zesiger Center pool on the MIT campus this weekend as the Institute hosts the 2012 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. The No. 4 ranked men's team and the No. 6 women's team will both be defending championships won in 2011, with the men's squad gunning for its fourth straight title.
Preliminary heats will start on Friday morning at 10 a.m., with consolation and championship heats taking place in the evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. The same format will hold for Saturday and Sunday as well. Finals in diving competition will be held during Friday and Sunday evening's sessions. Tickets for the Championships will be sold at the door; an all-session pass is $15 for adults and $8 for seniors. Day passes are $6 for adults and $3 for seniors, while a single-session pass is $4 for adults and $2 for seniors.
