  • Newly-Renovated DuPont Tennis Courts Open for Play

    The MIT Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER) recently opened the first set of six newly-replaced outdoor tennis courts at the DuPont Tennis Complex. The first group of six are now fully-operational, while the second set of six courts will open as soon as they are completed.
  • Men’s Tennis Closes Fall Season at Tufts/Brandeis Invite

    Led by appearances in the quarterfinals of the A singles draw by senior Alex Cauneac (Severna Park, Md.) and classmate Sean Ko (Danville, Calif.) and an appearance in the quarterfinals of the B singles draw by junior Albert Go (Merritt Island, Fla.), the MIT men’s tennis team had a successful run at the Tufts/Brandeis Invitational over the weekend.
  • Barr and Cauneac Lead Men’s Tennis at ITA New England Championship

    Senior Tyler Barr (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) advanced to the quarterfinal round and classmate Alex Cauneac (Severna Park, Md.) reached the round of 16 in the singles bracket to lead the MIT men’s tennis team at the ITA New England Regional Championship Tournament over the weekend at Middlebury College.
  • Progress Continues On the Replacement of the DuPont Tennis Courts

    With the completion dates set for this fall, the MIT Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER) is currently replacing the 12 outdoor tennis courts that comprise the DuPont Tennis Complex. The project began earlier in the summer and includes a complete replacement of the playing surface, fencing and lighting. The two six-court sections will be re-opened in both September and October as the two groups of courts were staggered to allow for optimum usage during the summer.
