CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT men's tennis team swept the weekly New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) honors for the second time this season. Eric Beren earned his first Singles Player of the Week award after he went undefeated last week in the No. 3 position. Against regionally-ranked No. 2 Williams College, he posted a 6-3, 6-0 victory. He then defeated his Wheaton opponent by the same score, helping the Engineers clinch the No. 1 seed heading into post-season play.
Tindell and Dohlman posted a pair of victories in the No. 1 position for MIT. The duo defeated the No. 4 regionally-ranked tandem from Williams College, 8-5. Tindell and Dohlman closed the week with an 8-3 win over Wheaton, leading the Engineers to their eighth consecutive NEWMAC regular-season title.
