BOSTON, Mass. For the second week in a row, the No. 9 MIT men's outdoor track and field team picked up two New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) weekly awards. Junior Ken Cooper (Newport Beach, Calif.) received Field Athlete of the Week accolades, as he did last week, and the 4x400 relay was named Relay of the Week.

On Saturday, the Cardinal and Gray traveled to Troy, N.Y. for the Engineer's Cup. MIT finished in first place with 165.5 points, host RPI was second with 146 and WPI was third with 87.5 points. Throughout the day, 11 different Tech student-athletes won events, with Cooper leading the way with his three individual victories. He threw a season-best 182-03 in the Hammer Throw, a 155-04 in the Discus Throw and a 50-00.5 in the Shot Put. He is undefeated in all three of his events so far this season.

MIT's 4x400 relay ended the day by finishing in first with a time of 3:24.86. Composed of junior Austin Fathman (Hamilton, Mich.), freshman Henry Tareque (Ossining, N.Y.), and juniors Harrison Hunter (Northampton, Mass.) and Samuel Parker (Menlo Park, Calif.), the relay edged WPI's relay by nine one-hundredths of a second.

MIT will travel to Maine to Bates College next Saturday, April 12 to face Bates, Colby College and the University of Southern Maine for a meet starting at 12:00 p.m.
