CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following a 5-0 week, a first place finish at the MIT Invitational, and Tournament MVP accolades, David Thomas was selected as the Player of the Week for the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division. In 16 sets, he amassed 51 kills, a .451 hitting percentage, 16 blocks, 13 digs, and two aces.
Thomas started off the week with nine kills, a .412 hitting performance, and three blocks against Elms College. He began his Tournament MVP run with eight kills and a .400 hitting percentage versus Emerson College before racking up 18 kills, a .607 hitting total, and five blocks against Lasell College. Thomas was a force at the net in the Engineers' win over Mount Ida College as he posted six kills and five blocks to go along with a .500 hitting percentage. He wrapped things up with 10 kills, five digs, and three blocks in a sweep of then -ranked No. 12 Emmanuel College.
