    The MIT men's volleyball team split a pair of matches against No. 4 Stevens and Baruch College on Saturday in New Jersey. In the first match of the day, the Engineers fell to the host Ducks in four sets in its second United Volleyball Conference (UVC) match of the season and bounced back to defeat Baruch College in straight sets to close their road trip.

  • Thomas Nelson Takes Home UVC Athlete of the Week Accolades

    Cambridge, Mass. (February 5)– For the second straight week, a student-athlete from the MIT men’s volleyball has been honored by the United Volleyball Conference (UVC). This week, junior Thomas Nelson (San Ramon, Calif.) was named as the UVC Athlete of the Week after leading the Engineers to a victory over Rivier University last Wednesday. 
  • Nelson Guides Men's Volleyball to 3-1 Win at Rivier

    Powered by a match-high and season-high 16 kills from junior Thomas Nelson (San Ramon, Calif.) the MIT men's volleyball team defeated Rivier University in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday night in New Hampshire. The Engineers improved to 5-0 this season as MIT took the match by set scores of 21-25, 25-12, 27-25, 25-16.
  • Tommy Ogeka Named UVC Rookie of the Week

    Rochester, N.Y. (January 29) – MIT men's volleyball first-year Tommy Ogeka (Manorville, N.Y.) has been named as the United Volleyball Conference (UVC) Rookie of the Week after leading the Engineers to a 4-0 start to the 2019 campaign. In addition, senior Skyler Kaufman (Needham, Mass.) was one of six student-athletes on the UVC Honor Roll list this week.
  • Ogeka Leads Men's Volleyball Past Baruch, 3-1

    A career-high 17 kills from first-year Tommy Ogeka (Manorville, N.Y.) guided the MIT men's volleyball team to a four-set win over Baruch College on the final day of the 2019 Johnson & Wales Tip-Off Tournament. The Engineers topped the Bearcats, 29-31, 25-17, 25-16, 25-16 to improve to 4-0 on the season.

    The MIT men's volleyball team improved to 3-0 tonight as the Engineers swept Lasell College by set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-16 and defeated Alvernia University 25-23, 23-25, 25-15, 25-16 on the first day of the 2019 JWU Tip-off Tournament.

The Engineers, which were ranked as high as No. 12 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) Division III national poll, will be under the direction of second-year head coach Todd Elwell.
