Cambridge, Mass. (October 30) –The MIT men's volleyball program has announced its slate of games for the 2018 season for the 2019 season, which will feature a 31-match schedule that includes nine United Volleyball Conference (UVC) contest and ten home games inside Rockwell Cage. The Engineers, which were ranked as high as No. 12 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) Division III national poll, will be under the direction of second-year head coach Todd Elwell.

MIT will open its season on January 23 at Regis College at 6:00 pm and will face-off against the top-four teams in last year's final AVCA national rankings including Division III National Champion Springfield College (March 6), No. 2 Stevens (Feb. 9), No. 3 Vassar (Feb. 16) and No. 4 Dominican (Mar. 29) over the course of the season. The Engineers will also take on four other nationally ranked teams from last year's final poll in No. 8 SUNY New Paltz (Feb. 22), No. 9 Benedictine (March 30), No. 11 NYU (Feb. 8) and No. 12 Cal Lutheran (March 25)
The Engineers will play five teams this year for the first-time in program history in St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) on February 9, Rutgers-Newark on March 16, Aurora, on March 28, North Park on March 28, Illinois Tech on March 30.
Returning to the squad this season reigning UVC Libero/Defensive Specialist of the Year and AVCA Second Team All-American Thomas Nelson (San Ramon, Calif.)as well as UVC All-Conference honorees Yize Dong (Moraga, Calif.)and Skyler Kaufman (Needham, Mass.).
