    BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Twelve members of the MIT water polo team were named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Men’s All-Academic Team. The Engineers also ranked sixth as a team among 17 teams that compete in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) with a 3.41 team GPA.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Junior Ilija Djuretic (Belgrade, Serbia) scored four times to earn Player of the Game honors as St. Francis College Brooklyn downed Division III No. 6-ranked Massachusetts Institute of Technology by an 11-6 count to qualify for a slot in the Fifth Place game of the 2015 Men's Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center Pool.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior Ory Tasman (Orlando, Fla.) of Division III No. 6-ranked the Massachusetts Institute of Technology netted a hat-trick and goalie Nolan Kruse (Jr., Orcutt, Calif./St. Joseph) stopped 13 shots as the host Engineers toppled Fordham University, 11-8, in the opening game of the 2015 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championship at MIT's Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center Pool.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Brown junior goalie Luke Weiser (Los Alamitos, Calif.) made nine saves to notch Player of the Game accolades as No. 10-ranked Brown University defeated Division III No. 6 and host the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 11-8, in the quarterfinals of the 2015 Men's Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championship at MIT's Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center Pool.

Soccer is headed to Haverford, Pennsylvania for the Sweet 16, both cross country teams are going to Winneconne, Wisconsin for the NCAA Division III Championships and water polo is hosting the CWPA Championship inside the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center, beginning on Friday, November 20.

The Engineers opened the brief home stand with a 12-6 loss to Fordham University, but bounced back with back-to-back wins against St. Francis College, 14-13, and Iona College, 11-5.

On Saturday, the Cardinal and Gray fell to Fordham University, 11-5, and St. Francis College, 16-11, but bounced back on Sunday for an 18-16 overtime victory against Iona College to wrap up the trip.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. and PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The MIT water polo team opened its season with a 2-1 record at the 2015 Bruno Classic, hosted by Harvard University and Brown University, over Labor Day weekend. The Engineers, ranked No. 19 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) preseason poll, fell to No. 4 Stanford University, 30-9, on Saturday, but bounced back on Sunday defeating Claremont-Mudd-Scripps by a score of 14-11 and Occidental College, 12-6.
