CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - John Bourne scored in overtime to lead Brown Univeristy to a 7-6 victory over MIT, Wednesday night at Zesiger Pool. With the loss, MIT falls to 12-9 overall and 4-4 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association.

The Engineers found themselves in their second overtime game of the season versus the Division I Brown Bears. Paced by Dave Lohrey's three goals in regulation, Tech and Brown found themselves knotted at five at the end of the fourth quarter.

In the first overtime period, John Rogers scored his second goal of the game off of a counterattack to give MIT a 6-5 advantage. MIT held that lead up until the senior Paul D'Avino scored a goal for Brown with 13 seconds showing on the overtime clock; thus sending the game into a sudden death overtime period.

In the sudden death overtime, MIT miss fired on two offensive possessions with the latter breakdown leading to a counter attack goal by Bourne that sealed the victory for Brown. The Engineers are back in action this weekend at the Division III Eastern Championships in Washington, Pa.
