No. 19 Men's Cross Country Places 16th at NCAA Championship

THE BASICS:

- Location: Lake Breeze Golf Course (Winneconne, Wis. - Hosted by UW-Oshkosh)

- The Lead: At the NCAA Division III National Championship, the No. 19 ranked MIT men's cross country team placed 16th with a total of 465 points over the eight-kilometer course at Lake Breeze Golf Course. 

A LOOK INSIDE THE RESULTS:

- Freshman Andrew Mah (Newton, Mass.), the 2018 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year, paced the Engineers in 66th place in a final time of 25.21.5. Senior Josh Rosenkranz (Glencoe, Ill.) was the second MIT finisher and 112th overall as he crossed in 25:40.6.

- Senior Alex Knapp (West Chester, Pa.) finished in 148th at 25:52.3, while senior Aidan Gilson (Florence, Mass.) and junior Billy Woltz (Logan, Ohio) were in 157th and 164th place, respectively. Gilson ran a time of 25:54.8 and Woltz crossed in 25:56.9 to round out the scoring runners for MIT.

- Junior Josh Derrick (Winnetka, Ill.) ran a time of 26:31.8 to finish in 239th place, followed by freshman Ryan Wilson (Redwood City, Calif.) in 273rd at 27:37.1.
