CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - Although MIT endured its lowest finish of the season with an 11th-place effort at the highly competitive All-New England Championships, the Engineers broke into the Mondo Men's Cross Country National Rankings for the first time this season at the No. 23 position.

MIT has routinely been among the region's most exceptional squads, and its return among the national elite should come as little surprise. The Engineers are the fourth-ranked team in the New England Region and are arguably much stronger than the rankings indicate evidenced by narrow losses against Wisconsin-La Crosse (No. 3) and Bates College (No. 12).

MIT finished 11th at the All-New England Championships, an event that includes teams from all college divisions. The Cardinal Red and Silver Gray are in action again this Saturday at the University of Southern Maine Invitational.
