  • Crew's Annika Rollock Named as Pocock/CRCA All-American
    July 23, 2018
    Cambridge, Mass. (July 23) -- MIT women’s lightweight crew senior Annika Rollock (Lafayette, N.J.) has been named as a Pocock/CRCA All-American for her performance in the 2017-18 season. To be eligible, student-athletes must have rowed in at least 75 percent of the season’s races in the varsity boat, been nominated by her institution and the head coach of the institution must be a member in good standing of the CRCA.
  • Intercollegiate Rowing Association Announces 2018 All-Academic Honorees

    The Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Board of Stewards has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2017-18 academic year. A total of 315 student-athletes from 28 institutions were honored, with MIT producing 18 qualifiers, including an IRA-best 11 women’s lightweight representatives.
  • Women's Lightweight Crew Announces Recruiting Class

    Cambridge, Mass. (June 15) -- The MIT women’s lightweight crew team and head coach Claire Martin-Doyle has announced the incoming recruiting class as the Engineers welcome six student-athletes to the program. This year’s class includes Emily Rabinovitsj (Menlo Park, Calif.), Ines Pinilla (Miami, Fla.), Eve Schoen (Clifton Park, N.Y.), Maheera Bawa (Skillman, N.J.), Jaime Cook (Wayland, Mass.) and Rebecca Kay (North Miami Beach, Fla.).

  • Women's Lightweight Varsity 8 Finishes Sixth at the IRA National Championship

    At the IRA National Championship on Saturday and Sunday, the MIT women’s lightweight crew team advanced all three boats to the Grand Finals. The Varsity 8 was able to complete its race early in the morning on Sunday before the other races were cancelled due to dangerous winds.
  • Martin Selected to US U23 National Team Selection Camp

    Princeton, N.J. (May 17) -- MIT senior lightweight women’s rower Elizabeth Martin (Lexington, Mass.) has been selected to the US U23 National Team Selection Camp. The camp will take place beginning in early June in Boston.
  • Women's Lightweight Crew Shines at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia

    The MIT lightweight women’s rowing team had an outstanding weekend at the Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Pa. on Friday and Saturday as the team won medals in the Collegiate Double, and Lightweight Four and finished fifth in the Varsity Heavyweight Eight.
  • Women's Lightweight Crew Competes in the Muri Cup and Beanpot

    On Saturday morning on the Charles River, the MIT women’s lightweight crew team competed in the Muri Cup and the Beanpot as the conditions were sunny with a headwind over the 2,000-meter course.
  • V4 Wins Petite Final, V8 Qualifies For Grand Final at Knecht Cup

    At the Knecht Cup in New Jersey, the MIT women’s lightweight crew team was led by a victory in the Petite Final by the Varsity 4 boat and a berth in the Grand Final by the Varsity 8 crew.
  • Lightweight Women's Crew Performs Well on Blustery Saturday on the Charles

    On Saturday morning on the Charles River, the MIT women’s lightweight crew team took on Williams, Wellesley and William Smith in three varsity 8 races. In the D3 openweight national rankings, Williams is currently ranked No. 3, followed by Wellesley at No. 9. For MIT, the team’s varsity 8 boat is currently No. 7 in the nation in this week’s USRowing Collegiate Poll.
  • Lightweight Varsity 8 Defeats Top-Ranked D3 Openweight Crew Bates To Lead The Engineers on Saturday

    In the spring opener for the MIT women’s lightweight crew team, the Engineers picked up a victory in varsity 8 competition against the top-ranked D3 openweight crew from Bates to lead the team on the Charles River on Saturday. Overall, the Engineers rowed three varsity 8 boats in the regatta that took place in a 5-8 mph headwind with some gusts.
