July 05, 2019The Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Board of Stewards has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2018-19 academic year. A total of 281 student-athletes from 28 institutions were honored, with MIT producing 12 qualifiers, including an IRA-best 10 women’s lightweight representatives. -

October 23, 2018Cambridge, Mass. (October 23) -- The MIT Department of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation (DAPER) has announced a gift from Richard J. Resch ’61 that will support a significant renovation of MIT’s Harold W. Pierce Boathouse. In recognition, the 52-year-old facility along the Charles River will be renamed the Richard J. Resch Boathouse. -
Women's Lightweight Varsity 8 Places Sixth at the Head of the Charles
October 21, 2018In the season-opening regatta for the MIT women’s lightweight crew team, the Varsity 8 boat led the Engineers with a sixth-place showing at the Head of the Charles on Sunday afternoon. The sixth-place performance over the three-mile course was identical to the boat’s finish in the 2017 HOCR.
