HOW IT HAPPENED:

- In the three-mile varsity 8 race on Sunday on Lake Carnegie, the Engineers crossed in 27th out of 52 entries in a time of 15:20.255. The coxswain of the boat was junior Annie Zhang (Campbell, Calif.), which also contains three freshmen to go along with team tri-captain Abbey Diener (Draper, Utah).
