Women's Openweight Novice 8 Places Fifth at Dartmouth Green Monster

THE BASICS:

- Location: Hanover, N.H. (Connecticut River)

- The Lead: At the Dartmouth Green Monster on Sunday in New Hampshire, the MIT women's openweight rowing team placed fifth out of 11 boats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The novice 8 boat, with freshman Jennifer Wang (Norcross, Ga.) as the coxswain, crossed in fifth place out of 11 boats in a time of 17:21.2 to finish just in front of the Boston College B boat. The crew consisted of eight freshmen and senior Vickie Wang (Columbus, Ohio), who is also in her first season as a member of the openweight crew team.
