- The Lead: The MIT women's openweight crew team competed at the Head of the Charles Regattas on Saturday as the Engineers opened the 2018-19 home racing season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- In the women's club eights race on Saturday afternoon, the Club 8+ "A" boat crossed in a time of 17:39.593 to finish in 12th place out of 31 entries. The "B" crew finished in a time of 19:37.509, which put them in 29th place overall as the races took place in a strong headwind.
