Center Valley, Pa. (June 21) -- As announced recently by the Patriot League, the MIT women's openweight crew team had 21 student-athletes named to the league's Academic Honor Roll. Overall, 261 student-athletes were recognized over the nine women's crew teams with MIT ranking fifth in total honorees.
To be eligible for the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
There were 32 Patriot League student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 GPA in the 2019 spring semester, including eight members of the MIT program. At the season-ending Patriot League Championship in Worcester, the Engineers finished sixth overall with a total of 22 points as the V8 and 2V8 boats each advanced to the Grand Final.
