- The Lead: In its final competition of the semester, the MIT women's fencing team went 1-4 at the Brandeis University Invitational on Sunday. The Engineers (7-5) overpowered the University of Incarnate Word (25-2) but fell to Division I foes Yale University (21-6), St. John's University (19-8), Cornell University (17-10), and the University of North Carolina (17-10). Junior Helen Sakharova (Ridgewood, N.J.) led the epee squad with an 11-4 performance while freshman Shiaoching Tse (Apex, N.C.) finished with a total of 9-3 for the foil team. Freshman Thérèse Mills (Medford, N.J.) paced the sabre contingent with a tally of 5-10.
