- The Lead: In its final action of the regular season, the MIT women's fencing team edged out host Brandeis University, 14-13, in the Beanpot on Wednesday. The victory came between losses to Boston College (23-4) and Harvard University (25-2). Senior Helen Sakharova (Ridgewood, N.J.) powered the epee team with a 7-2 ledger while first-year Anita Dey Barsukova (Richardson, Texas) led the sabre squad with a 4-5 mark. Junior Karen Gu (East Hanover, N.J.) turned in the best performance for the foil contingent as she went 2-6.
