Gilbert, Ariz. (November 13) – MIT field hockey junior goalie Grace Moore (Boston, Mass.) was named the Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Wednesday. This is the second time in her career she has been the recipient of this award, with her first honor occurring in 2017.

In a 2-0 week for MIT which was capped by winning the program's sixth NEWMAC Championship, Moore tallied 17 saves, a .850 save percentage, and a 1.49 goals against average. Last Thursday, she made six saves in a 4-1 win over WPI in the semifinals. Moore then collected 11 saves and held nationally-ranked No. 15 Babson College scoreless during the final 34:20 of regulation to help the Engineers capture a 3-2 overtime victory in the title game last Saturday.
