CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second year in a row senior Katie Kauffman (Olney, Md.) represented MIT on the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Team as she was voted to the second team. Her selection marked the 18th consecutive season the Engineers received an all-conference nod.
From the midfield, Kauffman paced the Cardinal and Gray in goals (46), assists (12), and points (58). She set the Institute record for draw controls in a season with 48 and was third on the team in groundballs (23) and caused turnovers (eight). In the MIT recordbook, Kauffman is tied for second in career draw controls (115), ranks third in goals (135), and fourth in assists (38) and points (173). Within the NEWMAC, she finished in the top 10 for goals, assists, points, and draw controls.
