CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second straight week, four members of the MIT women's swimming and diving team – ranked seventh in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association (CSAA) poll – were tabbed New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Relay of the Week. Senior Emmie Ryan (Avon, Ind.), juniors Veronika Jedryka (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and Lena Yang (East Stroudsburg, Pa.), and freshman Amanda Wu (Cedar Park, Texas) made up Tech's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay unit.
Ryan, Jedryka, Yang and Wu collaborated for a first place performance on Saturday, clocking a time of 1:38.78. Their time set a new pool record.
MIT returns to the pool on Friday, January 23 when they host Williams College at 5:00 p.m.
