NORTON, Mass. – MIT senior Valkyrie Felso (Alpharetta, Ga.) and freshman Christina Tournant (Seminole, Fla.) represented the swimming and diving team at this weekend's Wheaton College Invitational. Both Felso and Tournant competed in the 1 Meter and 3 Meter Diving competitions.
Tournant recorded a pair of second place finishes on the 1 Meter (403.60) and 3 Meter (391.25) boards. Her performance on 1 Meter was good enough for a Regional qualifying score, earning her a spot at the NCAA Diving Regional Competition to take place at Springfield College on February 27th and 28th.
Felso wrapped up her career recording scores of 125.8 on 1 Meter and 127.35 on 3 Meter. The Invitational was a final tune-up meet featuring divers from across the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).
Next up, MIT will travel to WPI for the NEWMAC Championship, beginning on Thursday, February 19 and concluding on Sunday, February 22.
