AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007-08: Swam on the 800 Free Relay team, which achieved an NCAA "B" cut time of 7:49.53. Secured Second-Team All-Conference honors for her performances in the 200, 400, and 800 Free Relays. All three relays are among the fastest in school history. Individually, reached the championship final in the 200 Free, where she placed 5th. Her preliminary time of 1:59.98 was a lifetime-best time and her first time under the 2-minute barrier. Also placed 11th in the 50 Free (25.21) and the 100 Free (55.19).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006-07: Scored big points for the Engineers in her first NEWMACs by reaching the championship final in the 100 (55.46) and 200 Free (2:01.45), placing 8th in both. Added to her point tally with a 15th place finish in the 50 Free (25.56). Also a driving force in MIT's Freestyle relays, as a member of MIT's "A" 400 Free Relay, which placed 4th, the "B" 800 Free Relay, which she anchored to an 11th-place finish--ahead of all other "B' teams, and the "B" 200 Free Relay, which also placed 11th.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letter-winner at Waterville High School in Waterville, ME...qualified for the Maine State Meet all-four years...placed 5th in the 200 Free at the Maine State meet as a senior...qualified for New Englands as a senior...awarded Most Improved Swimmer (2004) and MVP (2005, 2006)...a captain as a senior.

CLUB: Mid-Maine Dolphins, coached by Dave Turnage (2004-2005)

PERSONAL: Born September 23, 1988 to Jan and Whitney King...has one sister, Carin who also swims...lists her proudest collegiate moment as the way the 400 Free Relay got up and swam fast at the end of NEWMACs last year...a Course 5 (Chemistry) major.
