Springfield, Mass. --  Freshman Lauren Quisenberry led her MIT women's tennis team to a 6-3 victory over Springfield College this afternoon on a sunny and breezy day at SC's Julius Appleton Courts. With the win, MIT ups its record to 5-2 overall, 5-1 in NEWMAC play. The Pride falls to 3-5 overall, 1-4 in the league.

Quisenberry had a good day, first teaming up with fellow freshman Julia Hsu to win at No. 1 doubles, 8-2. Quisenberry later won her match at No. 1 singles, defeating SC senior co-captain Amy Shaw, 6-0, 6-0.

MIT won all three doubles matches, setting the tone.
