No. 17 Engineers Run Winning Streak to Four With 8-0 Win Over Highline College

- Score: No. 17 MIT 8, Highline College 0

- The Lead: On Sunday morning, the No. 17 ranked MIT women's tennis team moved to 5-2 on the season with an 8-0 shutout win over Highline College in Laguna Hills, Calif.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- MIT dropped just two games in doubles play with the Engineers securing 8-0 shutouts at No. 1 and No. 3. In singles, first-year Viktoriya Tabunshchyk (Ancaster, Canada) defeated Lexi Maison 6-1, 6-0 as all five singles matches were settled in straight sets. 

- Sophomores Marina Zhang (Garnet Valley, Pa.) and Megan Guenther (Willowbrook, Ill.) also picked up straight-set wins at No. 2 and No. 5 as both came in 6-0, 6-0 finals.

- MIT is back in action on Tuesday, March 26th as the Engineers travel to No. 21 Caltech for a match beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific time.
