Why I Chose MIT: I chose MIT because not only did attending MIT afford me all the opportunities and experiences of a world-class research institution, but also those of Boston. There are so many other universities in the greater Boston area that there are few other places with such a high density of students, which means that the city really caters to our demographic. Additionally, when I visited MIT I realized how driven, passionate, curious an creative the students were and how they were tackling some of the biggest problems facing our planet and I wanted to be a part of that.
