CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After being named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Runner of the Week, along with the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) Division III National Athlete of the Week on Monday, senior Sarah Quinn (Watchung, N.J.) was tabbed Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III New England Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Wednesday. This is the third time Quinn has received this particular accolade.
Quinn finished first out of 267 runners, helping MIT capture the Purple Valley Classic hosted by Williams College last Saturday, September 27. She finished the 6k course in 22:23.9, beating the rest of the field by six seconds.
MIT returns to action on Saturday, October 11 when they compete in the NEICAA Championship at Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
