Women's Cross Country Places Program-Record 13 on NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team

Westwood, Mass. (October 25) -- The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced the 2018 Women's Cross Country Academic All-Conference Team. MIT is second in the NEWMAC with a single-season program record 13 Academic All-Conference selections as 80 student-athletes were honored overall.

Honorees must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2017 spring semester, achieved second-year academic status at her institution and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season. 

For MIT, senior Leandra Zimmermann (Augsburg, Germany) is being honored for the third time in her career, while five are two-time selections and seven are first-time honorees. Below is the full list of MIT selections.
